The Story

Mercedes-Benz Stadium is a 71,000 seat, multi-purpose stadium with retractable roof. It serves as the home of the Atlanta Falcons of the National Football League and Atlanta United FC of Major League Soccer. The GWCCA owns the stadium; the Falcons and the NFL operate the stadium under a 30-year agreement. Construction broke in April of 2014 and stadium completion was June 2017. The retractable roof spans 14.5 acres in the shape of an oval. The stadium
walls are constructed of translucent glass allowing natural light in and a view of the Atlanta skyline.

The Scope

The scope and scale of this project required comprehensive lift solutions while adhering to the highest safety standards. Maxim Crane has provided (24) cranes ranging from 40 to 2,535 ton, including Crawlers, All Terrains, Hydraulic Truck Cranes, Rough Terrains and Boom Trucks. The majority of lifting equipment has been operated & maintained by Maxim Crane. In addition, Maxim Crane assisted with planning and engineering. The result: over 72,618 machine hours completed without major incident.
